Smile! The Happiest Cities and Towns in N.C. are in the Triangle

The Triangle has some of the happiest towns in North Carolina, according to a new report by entertainment and culture site Homesnacks.
The report, which ranks the largest cities and towns in the state, is based on multiple factors, including percentage of residents with a college degree, average commute times, employment rates, cost of living, crime, percentage of married couples, percentage of homeowners, sunny days – and even geo-located tweets with #happy. Apex is the happiest in the state – and has the most sunny days.

Harrisburg
Cary
Knightdale
Lewisville
Summerfield
Clemmons
Stallings

Also in the top 20 are Garner (No. 12), Clayton (No. 13) and Wake Forest (No. 14). Chapel Hill is No. 26, Raleigh is No. 35 and Durham is No. 38.
Elsewhere in the state: Charlotte is No. 33, High Point is No. 34, Winston-Salem is No. 37 and Greensboro is No. 39.
