Raleigh ranks among the top 20 best cities to rent in, according to a study by WalletHub. The study compared the largest 150 cities in the United States, based on the two dimensions of rental market and attractiveness and quality of life. They were evaluated with 15 metrics graded on a scale from 0 to 100. Raleigh ranks 17th, ranking 20th for rental market and affordability and 5th for quality of life. It received an overall score of 60.47 out of 100.
Durham ranks 63rd on the list, placing 65th for rental market and affordability and 55th for quality of life. Other North Carolina cities that made the list include Winston-Salem (12th), Greensboro (33rd), Fayetteville (42nd) and Charlotte (66th).
